Philippians 2:19-30

Paul has already mentioned that the Philippians are to be supportive of each other and to be like minded in trying to reach the same goal and to do everything without complaining. If you remember the last few Sundays you will remember that the Philippians have been complaining and arguing among themselves (2:14; 4:2).The solution, Paul says, is to squash selfish ambition and conceit, to cultivate the unity of spirit and humility, and in doing so it puts the interests of others first.  All qualities that Christ himself showed us by example. Simple put we are to put others before ourselves…easier said than done. In a time where relationships have become blurred because of social media and false relationships, there has never been a great need for authentic relationships.
